After a short bus ride from Copacobana to the border of Peru and than further to a small town called Puno I was finally in my next country! Peru. Not much different than Bolivia I though. We stayed a night in Puno and made a day tour to the floating islands called Uros and a bigger island called Taquile.
Uros
The Uros are people living on floating islands made of gras. Really.. well dry gras of course but its so strange walking on them and see those people living on them. It`s actually more an tourist attraction I think because besides us there were about 100 other tourists walking around. Ah well at least we bring some money to those people :)
Taquile
We went on to island Taquile wre we had a nice meal at a local familie and got a dance performance. After that we walked over the island which was kinda boring and went back on the boat to spend about 3 hours to get back to Puno.
It was a nice day on the lake, but a bit too touristy.
That night our ways seperated.. me and Noga went to Arequipa, Ido took the bus to Cusco.

Peru dus, mijn favoriet!! Vergeet Ica (sandboarden & buggieen) niet. Ga lekker surfen in Mancora, want is veel warmer dan in bijvoorbeeld Huanchaco. Doe de 15daagse trek in Huaraz….(contacten heb ik daar voldoende, dus let me know) ENJOY!!! Wij zitten in Costa Rica, fantastisch mooi maar DUUR!!! xx van ons twee
